Contribution Guidelines

Primary Election August 26, 2008

  

Contributions:

  • Contributions above $50 must be by check;  cash contributions may not exceed $50.
  • No person or entity may contribute more than $250 per election.  (This limit has been set by Commissioner Stevenson and is consistent with the proposed Charter Government for St. Johns County).
  • For contributions in excess of $100, the occupation of the  person or the principle type of business is required.     
  • If two individuals on a joint account wish to make separate donations, two checks must be issued with individual signatures in order to be considered independent contributions. 
  • Reporting full name, address, amount and date of contribution is required for all contributions.
  • All checks must be deposited within five (5) business days of receipt.
  • Checks from joint accounts must be signed by the contributor in order to be considered independent contributions.
  • No unemancipated child under the age of 18 may contribute more than $100
